Academy — Wataku

A short introduction to Wataku Genesis — the board, the armies and how a game begins.

No setup phase: both armies begin in a set formation, already at War, with White to move.

Follow a complete Genesis game, move by move, with plain-language explanations.

One way to win: checkmate either enemy King.

Twelve steps through Wataku Genesis — watch, try, and connect the ideas that make the game.

Short positions, one best move. Build pattern recognition without playing a full game.

Play a complete game against the AI at your own pace, with hints available at every move.
